Is it too Early for Christmas Stockings?

Maybe it is, but I have to start early to fill up my space at Blessings Boutique in time for the holidays. I am excited to see how it goes, as I have never rented a space during the holidays before. I have a lot of ideas of different decorations I want to make, but I will see how many I actually get to. I still have all my regular projects lined up and waiting for their turn ...my work is never done. I plan to use what fabric remnants I have to make the Christmas stockings.

This is the first one! I used the muslin fabric that I used on this lamp shade. The muslin looks so much like flax-colored linen. I also lined the stocking with the same muslin, since it is such a thin fabric. I used a small piece of pale green polka-dot linen, left over from another project, for the top of the stocking and added a simple, muslin ruffle.

Have any of you started working on Christmas decorations yet??
